Region: Piedmont    Grape variety: Dolcetto 100%

The San Bernardo wine takes its name from the vineyard that is located just below the chapel dedicated to this saint. It is a very old vineyard and located at a higher altitude than the others of the company. What makes the difference from Maioli is its longer aging in oak barrels. It is produced only in excellent years.

Vinification: Traditional in steel tanks; ageing in large wooden barrels

Description: Intense ruby red color

Perfume: Broad, with hints of flowery fruit with a slightly spicy aromatic finish

Taste: complex, powerful with a long finish and hints of black cherries and coffee

Combination: goes well with meats and mature cheeses

Serving temperature: 18°C- 20°C.
