White wine
It’s a wine of great character, with an aromatic connotation that recalls the peel of yellow fruit, such as medlar and unripe apricot, and dried fruit.
This original white wine, obtained from indigenous vines of western Liguria, is made by macerating 60% white Rossese grapes and 40% Massarda and Malaga grapes. The white Rossese vine was more widespread, but because it was easily affected by powdery mildew, it was supplanted by Vermentino. Massarda seems to have been imported by the Genoeses from the Tabarca Island (Spain) and it appears to be the only vine was not eliminated from the phylloxera (annals of the city of Taggia); in effect the vineyard of the company is an ungrafted vineryard.
